Water or oil painting? Less and less used, glycero-type oil paints are prized for their covering power, their more homogeneous appearance and their resistance to humidity. They would therefore be suitable for professional spaces that require frequent washing. However, they are criticised for their strong odour or VOC content as well as their slightly long drying time, about 8 hours. Highly prized, water-based paints have the advantage of a very fast drying time, usually 3 hours. You can choose between: - acrylic, which is certainly the most versatile (interior, exterior) and with a covering power that is also highly appreciated and very little risk of visible rework, - vinyl, mainly used to create decorative effects, has an appearance quite similar to that of glycerol, - alkyd, made quite similar to oil paints also but less toxic. This type of paint usually dries in less than an hour and contains little or no VOCs depending on the range. How about the finish? For offices, prefer matt paints, which are very aesthetic and offer more depth. Painting of shutters

This offer is valid for the repainting in 2 layers of 10 wooden shutters of 65x180cm. Do you wish to freshen up the paint on your shutters as part of your embellishment work? This step is even more necessary if the existing paintwork has cracks. In this case, it is advisable to renew the operation every 3 years at the most. The painter will first establish a diagnosis of the condition of your shutters. He will then provide a personalised estimate according to the renovations to be carried out. Renovation of paintwork following water damage

This offer concerns the repainting of a room following water damage. This includes the restoration of the affected area and the application of 2 coats of paint to the entire wall. The intervention of the professional painter is generally done in two steps: 1- Remediation of the affected surface: To accelerate the drying process, he will use a drying unit. A humidity test or humitest will then determine whether the walls are ready to be repainted. This process is also a very effective anti-mould treatment to prevent the reappearance of stains, moss and fungi. 2- Before applying two coats of glycerine paint, the painter generally applies a water-repellent undercoat, which allows the paint to adhere better. It usually costs around €35 per linear metre to clean up the walls and €30 per square metre to prepare the surface, apply a water-repellent undercoat and two coats of paint.
